v3.0 Release Notes

Ok, trying to support all the different versions of the media players was just a pain-in-the-you-know-where. So, we've integrated a music player directly into OpenListen!

There's also a widget to bring OpenListen functionality right to your android desktop!

v2.7 Release Notes

Some nice updates with this release. Here's what's new:

v2.5 Release Notes

Phase one of Game Mechanics are in place with Artist Fan Club rankings. Track plays and recommendations take you up the ranks, but only one Open Listen user can be President of any Artist Fan Club.

Will it be you?

Upcoming releases will allow discovery of other users based on their ranking and placement in similar Fan Clubs. Lots of good stuff on the way.

v2.0 Release Notes

Finally got around to updating that stale UI. We'll keep tweaking it, but it's a HUGE improvement. Here's a couple of screenshots. Also, fixed that nasty partial playlist publishing bug.

     

 

 

Major Update! OpenListen v1.3

All features from OpenListen Plus have been made available in the FREE version of OpenListen. That means you can now:

• View location and playlists of other OpenListen users
• View and comment on Recommendations from other OpenListen users
• Complete enhanced OpenListen profile information

Going forward, the only difference between the Paid and Free version will be the the Free version is Ad Supported.

Looking for more Android Music Players

As you can see from our previous post, we've just added support for the MixZing player. We're hoping to find other Android Music Players that either:

1. Support the ScrobbleDroid protocol
2. Otherwise broadcast currently playing music
3. Allow for direct service connection (via a published .aidl file, for example)

New Player Support

With today's releases of OpenListen (v1.2) and OpenListen Plus (v1.1), both Apps now support the popular MixZing Media Player!

Just enable scrobbling from the MixZing Player and, Presto!, OpenListen will start recording the tracks.

OpenListen Plus v1.0

So, we finally got it done!

The first release of OpenListen Plus is now available in the Android Market. With this release, you can now see what other OpenListners are listening to, what they recommend, and even communicate with them right from your phone.

There's lots more to come in the months ahead - so give it a try. Hope you like it and, as always, send feedback to admin@openlisten.com.

v0.50 Release Notes

Big step here toward full version.With this release, the OpenListen service is up an running. Next release will take us to 1.0 and include recommendations, visibility into song / artist popularity, etc.
